Hedgehog's Yellow Cake
My 2nd grader came home and asked me to make a yellow cake. He said there was a recipe in the book he just read. The book was called Hedgehog Bakes a Cake by Maryann Macdonald. In the back of the book there is a simple, kid friendly recipe for yellow cake. It was so much fun reading the book together, following the recipe directions and helping each other by mixing all the ingredients. We added some Halloween candy (Kit Kats) on top. Find a recipe and cook with your children, it is so rewarding.
